Ellie Jane Goulding, born December 30, 1986 in Hereford England. Tracey Goulding Summers, her mother worked in a store. Arthur Goulding is the father. Goulding has three siblings: a sister Isabel who is older and a brother Alex as well as a sister Jordan. Alex her brother plays bass as well as a part of the Hereford group. As a child she was surrounded by her mom who encouraged her to become music teacher. In the ninth grade she took up the clarinet. She began to write herself songs around 14 years old, but it wasn't until she left for university that she began to seriously pursue songwriting. She is an Pisces born on 20 February 1966 in DeKalb Illinois. Her mother's name was Jennifer Sue and her father is Dan Crawford. Crawford, who is German English French and grew with three siblings, has a background in German English French. In her junior high school years, she started modeling. Crawford started out with a tiny modeling agency that Elite Model Management bought. Crawford made it to the finals of Elite's Look of the Year Contest in 1983. In 1984, she graduated from DeKalb high school. She was also awarded a scholarship at Northwestern University.
